Hi Al,
Can you please let me know the name of the guy you dealt with at AMI? And who were you with?
I too have insurance with AMI - currently my FJ70 and previously my FJ40. When I called about the 70, the girl asked me if it was the four wheel drive version! ....um...yip...When I asked about coverage off-road, she referred to her supervisor then told me that if the vehicle was deigned for it then I was covered. How vague is that? Perhaps I should ask for design brief from Toytota engineering for this model. I wasn't convinced they knew what they were doing.
Cheers

theiving bastards
The cops are useless! Wheels got stolen off 1 of my old cars, they'd only been on it for 2 weeks and i only put them on it to sell the car easier. cops came to fingerprint but stopd when they realised that they mustve used gloves... thats not the bad part obviously. i found the car my wheels ended up on.. told police.. nuthing! they got taken off the car, and put inside a house, told police adress and what cupboard in the house they were in... NOTHING!!! They got sold to someone in paraparam, got the rego make and model of car they went on to... told cops... F#*KING NOTHING!!!! Im not prepared to take on black power myself, but c'mon!!!
Just firebomb the ####### thing, tyres burn real good.
Don't know the name of the guy, just got a reference number. Try going down to your local branch of AMi as I got the impression that's how they worked. I just happened to ring afterhours half pissed and very persisent for a quote. He has given me a reference number to take to my local branch when I change over, very soon, as the cheque is in the mail. He just happened to know 4wdriving, didn't ask in case I got into a conversation. I was with Sun Direct
, had problems with State years back with the cleanest record ever.
