I/C pump runs continuously so you have to be careful with bilge pumps as most aren't continuously rated. Most I/C's only need about 7 to 10 l/per min to keep them cool. Too fast and then you don't get the heat transfer so don't work. A case of more is not necassarily better.
I'm afraid the more = not better thing is incorrect Darin. Faster flow of water does not hinder things at all- its not better- but not worse. It spends less time in the radiator (cooling itself) but also spends less time in the IC (heating itself) so its all the same. But Its like saying an A2A FMIC looses efficiency as you go faster because the air going over the core is moving too fast...it doesnt and its not.
Not that its an issue- pumping water around ultra fast is just not necessary.
there is a place on Ellis street in hamilton- i forget the name- but they have some sweet prices and sell a 24-12v converters ranging from $150 to very expensive (over 1k iirc) depending on your current requirements.
