wow mint wagon!
Bloody heavy old gurls tho! they dont like like sand or mud those things! even with a winch they are hard to get out!
i had one when i was on a farm up opotiki way, great machine on the farm but didnt like the beach or the muddy rivers just sunk like a brick! had to use the tractor once as i burnt out the winch!!! haha
If ya want a good 4x4 with a short wheel base and plenty of power get a little Isuzu Mu, 1989-1994 2.8 turbo diesel. customise the turbo tho and dont worry about auto or Manual they are just as good as the other! oh and customise some air locking diffs! you'll never get stuck!
As for tyres you have to be a millionare to buy good ones these days, although i had maxxis mudzillas on my old mu.
As for toyota's great trucks no doubt legendary among 4x4's, if i had the $$$ id buy a 4.2l TD V8 landcruiser but dont have $72,000 sitting around! haha They are great tho hilux i would only buy a 2.4 non-turbo way more balls! and less to F*ck out!
