Cheers for the heads up team, this was a bad spammer but we got it sorted now.

Please remember not to post in them as it takes ages to remove all your posts before we can delete their stuff.

Cheers

Admitedly a bit off topic, but check this out.

1.) Last week I googled Car Insurance in NZ to look at prices for insuring vehicles when used off road - Yes I was logged into Google.

2.) Went to a few NZ based websites to look at insurance prices ***without entering any personal information at all, no names, no E-mail address, no phone number - nothing***

3.) Over the following week I received 3 of those b****y annoying, unsolicited phone calls from telemarketers offering a free review of my insurance or touting for my insurance business...

Co-incidence ?!?!?! - I think not. But how the hell did my home phone number ever get onto their radar? I never give anyone apart from people I want to call me at home that number. If I ever have to enter a phone number for a website I always use my mobile.

Sorry for the off-topic post but I was reading the thread on spam and it got me thinking.

Spammer or no spammer, his post on hunting is highly inappropriate and offensive. There are hidden links in his posts as well.

View the logs.
if he is visiting from a static IP, use .htaccess to block him.

or. Geo-locate his IP's, and block his ISPs range if he is coming from some backward country...
Careful tho, you don't want to affect local access to the site.
(if only temporarily to piss him off, so he moves on)

its even worse when those posting in spam threads are supposedly computer gurus and website builders who should know what a pain it is to remove spam
