Hmm, I think it's the other way around?
I know the soarer box we use has the oil port, to oil the bearing in the extension housing (the bit that bolts to the back of the auto) and supports the long output shaft. I guess the other 1uz auto's are similar.
I didn't think the Prado had a bearing in between the auto & transfer case - which would make sense because it has bearings in the transfer to support the output (which is shorter than any of the 1uz outputs). I could stop being lazy and go check the Prado box we have?
However, sticking with the Prado box, and swapping the input is probably the easiest option unless you want to use the Lexus auto ecu.
