Got the Safari running, the alternator seemed to have fixed its self. So was thinking it was a loose wire, checked all the connections and seems to be sweet! Did some other fiddling round with it, new brake lights and the ARB sticker to make it go faster!

oh and found out the safari has old man emu nitro chargers all round! sweet!
You can just see the sticker on the rear window, with the barbie about to be cranked for a feed

Did IFS hub swap and wide axle conversion on my Hilux. Got it mostly done just need to get some new bolts for the callipers and bleed the brakes.
The wheels on the truck in the photos are 31's on 7inch rims which used to be well inside the guards.
Before

and after

All done

Ting Ting ting ting (sound of coin dropping)
I came across a dvd of footage in the weekend from Churchill,
on it was the vid of you being "near textbook" recovered by me on the big sand descent at "the sisters" up at Woodhill.
With your permission I would like to post it here.
Now I can put a face to the truck to the ORE nickname
The 105 was the giveaway
Was a good trip and it was Ironic how you were recovered by a Norwestie on the Auckland 4x4 patrol day
Cheers,
Simon.

Where abouts is that track near Ngunguru? Last time I was up there I was just cruising around the gravel road near the coast south of the Ngunguru sandspit, just exploring and some fat maori bastard gave me death threats! And no i didnt go anywhere past signs saying private property (there were a few around). It was a public road

Hey Mate,
It was at the end of Te Toiroa Road all the sign says is "Council Maintainence Ends Here". You have to go down a driveway for about 15m then its got the sign and you take the left hand track. I have work mates that live along there and they use it as a short cut to get to Ngunguru or if your on the other end its a short cut to come to town.
Its about 3kms long.
Cheers
