OK Just been talking to the organiser. There will be an article in the 4x4 action mag by the sounds of it.

There are 4 classes, same at the norm down here,

Standard (up to 31in radials)
Modified (up to 33in radials
GM (33in Simex type
SM (35 in simex type)

Note, 35 in max tyre size. $20 entry. Ag tyres permitted.

Also a tear drop race around pegs and at the end of the day, the biggest jump for the shambles trophy.

It is held 10 min out of Invercargill. Two tracks (one for radials, one from crossply). Race a random person, once each down each lane until all have a placing and then play offs.

Cannot guarantee much driving from what I have seen in the past.

The only way to get the tyre size changed is to be the one who runs the event and sets the rules :P :P

I have some ideas for spectator friendly events that can be held in a relatively confined area. I'll have to have a chat with you at some stage about this Jase.

Sounds good Rok. And being able to set rules etc, 36" tires would always be welcome at our place

35's have been the general limit to keep something fair for the competitors. If we moved to 36's, 37's or whatever then everyone would just change and we'd be back where we started except people would be $xxxx worse off.

The events are well supported and as of now there is no reason to change it....
