Good stuff mine never really worked after my pump went in to, Its out by a thousand RPM at 100 km, so what kit did you get? would be good to have it working again :D

Got a KC5435... 65 odd bucks and an hour with the soldering iron.

I can put up a post with a bit more detail if you are interested..
Will give mine a road test later as I think it may effect the shift points for the auto. All documents to date say it doesn't but I think it might hence correcting it before the ECU.

Bit of an update...
Since I have converted the auto to manual shift I nolonger need the TPS sensor. (will save wiring just in case I go supra stick)
So have removed my remote throttle body and setup the trans pressure lift cable to be moved at the new throttle quadrant.
Looks a bit messy but once it has had a few runs then I will pull it out, tidy it up and get it plated..
Got to get back to work yet.....
Will post photo later when it works...

An old thread I know but I am now ECU free !!! 8)
Have removed it and after a few hours worked out what wires do what and have grafted in the aftermarket glow plug timer unit....
Works a treat...
Also tidied up the Tacho wiring... Need to calibrate it later...

Thanks 1hamish1 for the glow timer....

I'm just wondering what you mean by changing your auto to manual shift?
When driving do you have to manually shift the lever to select that gear every time? ie can't put lever in drive and expect it to go thru the gears like factory?
Did you have to make a relay box to select the right solenoids on box to select correct gears?

Thanks
Brendon

Manually move shifter... No D anymore....
I choose what gear it is in...
I have just copied what others have done and added a bit.....
Read this thread and on the last post I have put a link to a pdf file which I made showing what I have done.

Another update to an old thread.
Finally have a fully working tacho...
The pulse converter wasn't working properly with the signal from my the 2LT tacho sensor. Would drop out at low rpm...and started to over read by a long shot.
I scored a tacho unit from a 1986 LJ71 and hooked it up to my wiring and it goes sweet.
Checked its rpm to my handheld meter and its within 50 rpm.. good enough for this fella.
So now all there is to do is to pull out my instrument cluster and swap over the gauges....Been in there before so not really a problem.

I stole it out of my mates winch challenge truck, he has a commie v6 so doesn't use that tacho.... Discovered his cab used to be powered by the mighty 2LT... So pulled it out and quickly hooked it into my truck and hey presto it works mint. Just need to swap it into my cluster. Will fit fine.
