Heres the other vehicles in our workshop:

The patrol,
Chev 350 LT1
700r4 auto
No block suspension (from aussie)
35" creepys on 16" beedlocked wheels
Safari snorkel
Years of blood and sweat
Too many other things to list.

Image

The Charger
Chrysler 360 which is being injected (home built multi point)
LSD rear axle and discs out of something
Its kind of a retro car in the making.

Image

The Fiat:
2.0l fiat twin cam
Modified for track racing at the moment. We are turning it into a rally car.
It has a weber carb but as its such a piece of sh*t we're injecting it
Also a turbo *may* go on
Also, its being painted yellow. Its already yellow underbonnet, we just havent painted the rest yet.

Image

And of course theres the shed rover. Theres already a thread on that though 8)

Forgot to mention that the patrol has a GU front axle. We used to have a problem with the CV's braking, but since the GU's been in, no CV's have broken.

Yeah, ditto as per de-ranged.... not my "cup-o-tea", but I'm always impressed with people who can fabricate that sort of stuff

I love that bonnet too!! Extremely impractical, but totally cool... :D

and as for the old school corolla wagon, I had a SR Coupe as a lad, always thought the wagons look cool done-up.

Looks wicked dude

show cars are never meant to be practical guys. What you do is admire the fabrication skills and the thinking out side the square stuff. 8)

Lets not start the name calling, but cheers for the compliment.

If a bag blows, ive got more to worry about than wheel to guard clearance. The tyres wont actually hit, but the chassis will be on the floor.

The bonnet wasnt actually too bad, we designed it to clip off with no tools. So in a way, was even more practical than the standard one.

I have plenty more pictures of the Floor Runner if anyone is interested. I had intended to have it finished by now, but its been built entrily in the garage at home, so some things have taken a bit longer than I had hoped for.

My web site is down at the moment "Under construction" :P

And yes you are absolutely right that is Grants workshop, where it literally lives....I need to get the LINK ECU wiring sorted and all the other wiring re-connected to the brand new engine.
We killed the last Lexus 8 around the South Coast, well we nearly killed it...it was just too tough.. (long story).

The paint was done by an NZ Army dude who paints their vehicles for a living, not quite what I was after but its definately grown on me...

The V8 needs the SAS conversion... everytime the front comes off the ground I wait for the "BANG" :(

might be time to drag it out of there Rob and do it ourselves, or maybe drop it into an auto electrician?

my other project apart from the hilux is an ep70 starlet, which is being setup as a circuit car, but is now for sale to make room for the hilux lol.. and pay off debts :(

Hey Zigen what have you done with your ep70? I have one that is a little modded, which came about when the mighty 1.0L engine gave out and I had to do something with my shopping cart. It is a total POS but manages to make me smile everytime I drive it :)

Sounds like a lot of fun, theres a guy here in Auckland that has an ep71 running a 4agze with a t4 hybrid turbs and antilag which is pretty nuts. My A-B has a twincam injected 1500cc engine (5efe) where the old carby 1000cc engine used to be, goes pretty good and handles like a go kart with the king springs, kybs and sticky tyres. It is hilarious giving some turbo cars a run for their money in the nana mobile, complete with factory peashooter exhaust and sunbaked shitbox paint. Cheap as fark to run and I am proud to say it has diverted the bare minimum amount of funds from the cruiser project...
