Supercheap dont sell "recovery hooks", i think they call them tow hooks to cover their arses should one break and kill someone.

No jerry, although that is a good idea.

Nib, I wish. Dome landrover do have tracks as standard equipment though. And you used to be able to buy conversion kits that bolt on where your wheel usulally goes

Well guys thanks for all the replies, I sure have got some good info now, and i will make the most of this. Sounds to me like it's a good idea to stay away from supercheap and take a trip to repco , or order online. :)

Hi all,

I've gone and brought some 10000lb rated hooks... does anyone know what bolts I need to fit them to the front mounding points on a '91 surf? (the captive nuts). I think I found it on here once before, but I seem to have misplaced it. :(

Went to the local wreckers... no help at all.

Take it to your local Blacks fasteners or similar shop and ask them to have a look at what you need. I'm sure they'll help.

If anyone else ever has the same problem they were M12x1.25x50.
