i know its a bit unfair but i dont want to go burning bridges because when i go to enter their clubs i dont want to be like blacklisted as like the moaner or anything if ya no wat i mean?

WRONG
Its the responsibility of all the old dead wood white haired old men that administer clubs to keep their eyes out for keen young guys to come into their clubs to teach them the ropes and introduce new blood to eventurely take over the administration and repeat the cycle.... not scare them away!

Well thats a dissapointing responce from them.
Sometimes no has to be the answer but you'd think they may be more encouraging and maybe offer you some sort of involvement to keep you keen and as a possible prospective member? Marshaling, cleaning trucks, co-driver, collecting gate fees.... anything like that?
....well maybe not cleaning trucks?

hey mroffroader

they might be not letting you enter because isn't this a public event, so they might have tougher rules/regulations compared to an interclub event

Hello
When I said open to all, I was thinking all those that are in 4wd clubs. I've heard that Offroad Express is about to become an affliated club of the NZ 4wd Association....so probably jumped the gun with the invite!
I'd say the 'member of a club' requirement will have a lot to do with the insurance that is provided by the association when you are a member, plus Valley would want people to hold a NZ drivers licence as well.
Can't comment to much though as I'm in Windy City (a much better club - we drink more bourbon than them!)....I was just adversting the event.
Thanks
Ange

Looking forward to seeing those pics Mike. Ive got a few to chuck up when the albums are working again
I had a great day confirmed my theory that safaris arent any good for trialing. Did a bit of damage, Broke a windscreen, snorkel head, dented both sides and folded the gutter down sepreating the roof seam in some places but it was worth it.

I have a really good one of you and turoa in the cockpit. Nothing special about it really but just shows you two in the mode so to speak

oh and thats going on the front page btw

Got a good action shot of the very last stage you did, bit out of focus but thats cause the camera had a fit trying to focus as there was shit flying everywhere

still a good pic though
