Re: 28th-29th July
Picked up Intercooler for my 3.1TD got to a point were I had the cross pipe unbolted to the air in-take and found out that it was not a "bolt in" like I thought it was going to be.
Why carnt things be simple and straight forward oh well looks like I will be paying someone a visit and do some brain storming.
Cheers

Re: 28th-29th July
Friday,
Undid thermostat housing (to see if i actually had one) as the safari runs cold, turns out I do have one. In the process snapped the long bolt (of the 3) luckily it doesn't seem to leak and I'll have to tap a fresh thread in there.
Saturday,
Headed up Odlins, a Mu I was with blew a hole in its radiator 'bout half way down and pissed its water out. Towed it up to a corner while I headed for the summit, had lunch and headed back down, towing the Mu up any hills it couldn't roll up with momentum. every time I got out of the truck to attach the tow rope my passengers farked with every switch they could find, rear A/C, rear heater, demisters, headlight wipers, wipers etc... got stressed with turning everything off every time and in turn I (completely forgot I'd just hooked the mu back on to my truck and) gave the poor bastard I was towing a hell of a tug. Was towing off his winch as it was his only proper hook and managed to bend his shi*ty aluminium bar out like 5"
Sunday,
Beer & spa.

Personally i would of thrown them out and let them walk a k or two to reinforce your complete generousity in letting them sit and enjoy the ride.
Might install a bit of respect for the mans truck and where it takes them (hopefully on small tyres of course would want to get into a screaming match like on other threads ah) and kricky dont even discuss lockers, chains and other traction aids

Yeah they got a bollocking after that and I apologized to the kid with the Alu bar, didn't need to happen.
as for traction aids, I was rolling on my tiny 33" mudders on my enormous LWB safari doing my best attempts at doughnuts on the main track, digging holes to test MUZZADUCKs theories

It was well worth the effort. Will get a proper tyre guage and hooks fitted then do some harder stuff. But it went better than it used to, and flexes bout twice in the back what it used to do.
