There's gas at Murupara and Turangi.......

Would it up set anyone's plans if we swapped it to the weekend after????

That would be the 13th and 14th??

Wont be able to do 13/14th, however think my alternator has gone so need to have a look at that this weekend, and who knows if I will be able to get it sorted by the 5th. So don't worry about me.

Guys, I am really having issues with dates still.

The weekend I had "locked in"  is useless also.

Ummmmmmm :(

The weekend after that is labour weekend, and would rather not go that weekend as everywhere is mad that weekend being the first long weekend for months.

We can either swap back to the previous weekend, the 6th or 7th, and i will bail on my friday night engagement that I had forgotten about, or make it another weekend after labour weekend.

How hard can it be

Right. I have checked and checked again

Well, the options in order of my preference are:

 6th and 7th (i will find someone to cover me for the Friday night, it's just a ghey wedding gig, way over in tauranga and I wasn't gonna get payed so fuk it, wont let it wreck the whole weekend)

 20th, 21st and 22nd Labour weekend. 3 day mission, but it's always madness out there. Cops out in force, idiots all over the road etc. Just means you gotta try harder to avoid the masses and hit the real out of the way places.

 27th 28th. Same 2day trip lay out.

Really gutted I cocked up by changing the dates. Should have just left it as. Sorry!!!!

Personally would prefer not to go labour weekend as like you said, too many idiots and cops out in force

6th and 7th or 27th 28th work for me, i will see what other say..

is it possible to create a FB event for this? it'll be much easier to keep track of which weekend is currently "the one". You could post a link to it on the off road express group on Facebook so we can all find it.

EDIT:+ I can invite a couple more trucks who aren't on ORE everyday.

I have sorted someone to cover me on the friday night the 5th, so lets put it back to the original date.

 5th and 7th or October

We are about a week out from the trip and thought I would run through the details again seeing as there was some issues with the dates.

Trip is now back on the

5th, 6th and 7th October

 Friday Night

Meet BP Cambridge, depart 8pm (earlier if it suits everyone).

Head to Lake Ririwhakaaitu, arrive between 10 and 11pm (2 hr trip), set up camp and talk bollocks.

 Saturday

Leave camp around no later than 9am.

Meet us at the reserve at the first boat ramp off Brett Road if you can't make the friday night. Don't be late

Head to minginui, around the egde of Whirinaki forest to exit onto Napier Taupo road. There was a big wash out last time I went through, but I believe it has been fixed.

Hoping to camp at destination on Desert road. Brrrrr

Approx 250k's traveling

 Sunday

Various options,
- go to Ohakuni and doodle through Ratamia rd (unformed) if we are all shinys,
- if we have a group of good trucks, then there's a cool track that needs use we know of
- take some tools and clear a track that used to loop off the desert road back to Kaimanawa road.
- Head up Tukino Ski access (yawn)

The idea is for anyone to come.

Your truck will need:
Tow hooks front and rear
Spade
Stretchy rope
PRS (handheld is fine)
Basic tools
A good check over before you head out, on the off chance you spot something before it goes wrong

You will need:
A good attitude, who knows where we will end up 8) 8)
Warm gear
Plenty of food
Waterproof jacket incase we end up digging/winching/clearing trees in the rain

We had a few interested before I changed the date, so now its back on for the evening of the 5th then the 6th and 7th who's still in??
