Easier way I found was to undo the nut until it sits flush with the thread and wack around the housing a couple of times then some decent ones on the nut and it normally drops down straight away if not repeat the process until it works.
My weekend consisted of trying to get a door open on my skyline that had decided it was going to fail in the central locking unit. 4hrs over the weekend and its finally open. I now need a new interior door skin but that's nothing I was going to get the grinder out and cut a hole in it haha.

neva thought of that b4. will have to give it a go next time makes perfect sense realy, cos you loose all the energy from the hit with nuthing suporting the otherside, this will keep the energy where ya want it.
Thanks coxsy

Went and looked at a dog today, black lab cross and man hes big.
18 months old, so still a puppy but old enough to not worry about puppy troubles.
Also, went to see a mate, got a 200cc suzuki for free, and a ride on lawn mower for 50 bucks and 2 pies.
