I have a little experimenting to do first.

I am watching this,
Why don't you try making something with http://www.arduino.cc/

And for a resistance use one of those led load resisters 21w.

It works on paper.

Tried using a single relay yesterday, didnt not work to well, getting earth from brake switch to activate relay and deactivate when brake is pressed.
It gets earth from the lock up solenoid and 12v+ from brake when pressed.
Which activates the relay when you have your foot on the break :/.
So will have to go with the two relays and see how that works.

Hi there guys

Has anyone used this mod with regards to off road low speed hill descents for better engine braking ??

I suppose at low speeds it would create a lot of stress/strain on trans and if you stalled that might not be to great...

Cheers Pete

Just learn to left foot brake. Gives far more control as engine braking is really a very simple and safe technique. With practice left braking is far better as allows you to vary speed.
Nissan Terrano coilovers, turboed VH45, Safari axles, and some other stuff.
