The grapevine would be really

You can do a big loop back onto stadia will take a couple of days. But after the wires we know what to bring to make the night out more comfortable. Not all of us have enough room to sleep in the truck. There is a good camp site down by the river

Just need lots of insect repelant.
Now it's getting a bit warmer it is looking like a pretty good time to go, and drying out a little.

Just a word of caution ........ I'd recomend a recce trip on foot or mxbikes first just to check out conditions - esp after hearing the time taken by the Manukau lads!!
I'm probably going up on foot in a couple of weeks.

Yeah it always pays to do your home work. The zuk is just like an over sized quad but might have to break out some trail bike skills

Or walk I'm good at that up to about a km
It looked like the local farmer had done a bit of work on the track at waitawheta just before winter. I guess if this has cut up it might be getting a bit exciting. And as for the slip around the back, that was just scary

(Well for bent at least he was in the truck) I was standing back ready with the first aid kit.
It's only a few hours (3) to walk around anyhow. So probally worth a look see now to see how it's changed over winter. Or easier still... any pics from the Manukau trip floating around.

Maybe we'll do the grapevine first then. Not sure about camping by the waterfall though after the slip

There is not a lot of land left.
