The 4th of December is a Monday, but the 2nd or 3rd would be fine.

The Sunday could be better co's Ben and i can peg out some sections on the Saturday.

I bet it will be bloody dry, but i was thinking of running a day as a cross between a 4x4 and Motorcycle Trials, were you do say 4 laps of 5 or 6 sections and are graded on weasther you get through them in one go, two goes, need assistance/tow, or can't do it. You are awarded points from one to four, for the above, and total you lap score at the end of each lap. The truck with the least points wins. To keep it interesting stupid things like timing how slowly you can do a tricky hill climb, managing to get accross a drain with out lifting a wheel and that sort of thing may be incorporated in the scoring. We won't have observers so score ya selves 8) 8)

Other ideas are team relay through a couple of the close together sections, where a team has to get each vehicle in their group through the series of sections in the fastest time, and only one vehicle at a time can be moving. Should provide lots of opportunity for the other vehicles waiting their teams turn to grab heaps of killer photo's

So Sunday the 3rd its is

Yep, still all go, my old man has a gig in Rotorua on Sunday, so unfortunatly won't be able to participate, But also won't be there to watch were we go as closly

The swamp had a drain put through it many many years ago, and its mostly filled back in. There is plenty of mud there, it just may take a couple of goes in a Safari to break through the crust in a couple or areas. Either way, the remains of the drain, thats now full of slopy crap, should slow things down in the middle and make life VERY interesting 8) 8) 8) 8)

 Famous last words.

Ben and i went for a look last night, and by jumping up and down on the ground you could get the ground moving about 2m away.

Me being the clever bastard i am, decided just as we were about to head back out of the paddock, to try just skimming round the edge of the swamp with two wheels on the hard and two in the bog. I got less than 1m before it nose dived and sunk up to the grill.

Boy O Boy are we going to have some mad fun

I reckon there needs to be a prize for the person that gets right accross on a certain marked out line to start with, then just to any one that gets through using any chosen route they like

If you don't have rated and correctly attached tow hooks, don't show up and expect to play!!!!!

They will be tested to the limit

I have this feeling its going to make the mud drags at Manukau look like a bunch of mall crawlers playing on speed bumps at the supermarket carpark

Fortunatly we have at least five vehicles with winches on hand so should be sweet 8) 8) 8) 8)
