I was marshalling a hazard for some of the afternoon and was recovery vehicle for the rest of the day. Pulled many a dead vehicle back to the pits and had to pull several dead ones up a very slippery hill that some competitors were having problems with. Aired down at 5psi they didnt even spin. They pulled wacko up a slippery hill that he couldnt get up, and my sister (who was driving at the time) didnt even notice he was there. They performed very well on some hills at the end of the day, where I would get up as far as I could, flick in the lockers and they'd keep climbing. I was very impressed as its the first time we've had them down that low. I think I may buy a set for the rover.

Oops, now it looks like a review

We went over the old man range from piano flat up the rock staircase then turned off and took a different track that went all the way to roxborough. we refilled ,then had a beer at the shingle creek pub and went back over the old man range ,waikaia bush road and found 2 very stuck vx cruisers, bogged to their doors the pair of them, i winched both of them out then hooked on my 15tonne bungy and pulled them down to the road. we then carried on about 2 hours to piano flat. a great trip.

it was interesting that one of the cruisers had 35inch wrangler mtrs, they were totally useless in the peaty soil up there.'
i wouldnt have them.

Poped up to Chch and had a good play around the Waimac and tons of places down highway 72 on the way home.

Only had baldies on the front of the mighty Lada so didn't get to carried away (or indeed stuck) and the rivers were looking fast-ish and high, but good fun none the less.

Some of you guys must be running pretty tall tyres by the look of the ruts in the designated 4WD recreation area!! I might have to bring my tractor tyres up next time. :)

I'm almost jealous of the rivers you canterbury guys have to play in...

Got truck back today.
Seems as there was a tiny speck of "stuff" in the rubber blocky thingie that does stuff to the vacuum to drive hubs.

Was limiting the amount of air travel to pull suck a vacuum, hence not going in. Selby (Allison) took airsuckvacumm from a different place in the line, works shithot now.

AVM's Agent, 4wd.co.nz, offered me a set of manual hubs for only $414 plaus $120 fright from Aus plus $9 fright to Wangavegas, good of them yes?

declined offer, especially wen I had wrote to ask them if it was possible to convert suck hubs to manual!!!!

Diff HAD flung front oil seal. No reason given, after all, it IS in the lowest place and does lead the way into stuff like water, mud etc etc

Dont follow Wopass
Dont follow Wopass
Dont follow Wopass
Dont fol.........

you get the idea, its all his fault.
