KL71 or MT764 or MT117
Re: KL71 or MT764?
I run my 31" 71s on my Terrano at 34psi all round
Re: KL71 or MT764?
I run roughly 36psi at front and 34psi at the back on Jane, had the same for the Surf for years. Had been told all sorts of "recommended" pressures by tyre guys, but it always depends on your truck's weight so theres no one rule for all
Good rule of thumb to go for a drive for at highway speed, pressure should rise 4psi after an hour driving. Anything less means tyres are over, anything more they are under inflated.
I've followed this rule and getting very good mileage from my tyres.

Re: KL71 or MT764?
Interesting fact. Will have to check that.
Re: KL71 or MT764?
Run mine at 36 all round on the 80 series. if less the out of the tyre was wearing to high and the middle was wearing 36 seems to be the number for mine.
Re: KL71 or MT764 or MT117¿
I have updated the thread to include the Silverstone MT117s. Road manners are no concern for me. Other than driving to the tracks the truck is mainly of road.
Anyone running the Silverstones? They look very aggressive.
Cheers
Matt.

The silverstones are excellent off road.
I couldn't believe the difference that they made.
Shocking (and I mean SHOCKING) road manners
but if you are only using them off road then they would be my pick, but don't use them in rivers etc cuz they dig real big holes, really really fast.....

Re: KL71 or MT764 or MT117
Which MT117?
MT117ex
and MT117 Sport
are in the same league as MT764 and KL71.
MT117 Xtreme
is completely different tyre, cross ply and comparable with Simex Extreme Trekker of Jungle Trekker.
MT117ex

MT117 Xtreme

Re: KL71 or MT764 or MT117
Yeah, my bad. I was on about the extremes

Re: KL71 or MT764 or MT117
I am actually thinking about the extremes.
Truck doesn't do fark all road kms other than driving to tracks.
I do do a bit of river work - are they no good Weemsy?
Cheers

Re: KL71 or MT764 or MT117
I just found that they dug in way to much. River silt, sand or shingle. I just ended up stuck all the time.....
Mud, clay, wet grass etc they are excellent but tar seal and down the river they are below average in my opinion
