Good stuff!! Well done with a trusty ole No 3 .303 too!! Still a great cannon. Bloody JEALOUS too, funnily enuff, I have only ever take two reds in more than 40 yrs chasing deer.
Lost count of Japs though....... Still jealous of the red, bugger. Lots of knife handles there, too. Will show Rolloverrover, he aint shot a deer yet!!

Was in Aust over easter (work).

Had a corolla rental but managed to get a drive in a 86ish wide body cruiser (4.2 D) nice rumble and apart from the ¼ turn in the steering before getting any response it was good for freeway cruising and a gutter hop. Also drove a '97 VX cruiser with MTs and a lift kit (almost need a ladder to get in!) again only road use.

On the monday I passengered in the '97 and we went with a Jeep up the Watagans. (what an awesome playground to have only 5 mins from your home - thousands of acres of bush, tracks, rocks, mud)

The Jeep driver took an 'easy' route which was enough to frighten our cruiser driver (new to 4x4ing, mainly been trail biking and the truck way out-does his confidence at this stage) was some nice rock face climbs and a bit of mud - was wishing I had the driver's seat and my own truck - even though mine is less capable, I'd hate to scratch his expensive truck!

I know it's been a few days since Easter, but i have only just managed to get my act together and post again.

I spent the Easter weekend in Blenheim at the Classic Fighters air show.

Nice weather and a bit of history thrown in, it was all good.

Here is me on the right, re enacting a Vietnam theme.

And a shot to show how close to the aircraft we were.

And lastly capturing the enemy officer.

I'm on the look out for some NZ issue, Vietnam era webbing, if you have any I would be keen to hear from you, just PM me!
