with the panhard being on such an angle wont it try and push either the body or the diff to one side? Or is the truck still on the jack in the pic? And speaking of jacks, i think your going to need a high lift high lift jack

I remember seeing cars jacked up like this when i was a teenager.

having that panhard rod on such an angle probably isnt doing much at all, any plan for getting it on the road, i have asked about running these style of air shocks and was told i need a coil of some description as dampening

8) 8) 8) just about done needs a lick of paint and a good twist up 8) 8) 8) think it should have enough travel for the time being
on the top pic i measured to the top of the tail gate from the floor 1850mm

rik

So how does one change the wheel now? do you need to take a trolly jack to put under the axle or you need a chain or something you can hook on to stop the wheel dropping

yeh im planning on getting it certed   had a word with wayne martin and he was quite happy to cert airshocks
this pic is the maximum travel
Image

and shows how much the axle is pulled across to the left by the panhard

the cv angle at the gearbox is looking like im gonna have to put a dc in

airshocks themselves are only running about 150 psi so im gonna get them blown upto 350 psi then start and play about with it

all the joints are stock standard just well spaced off mounts to utilize all the travel they have

and yeh mike im thinking a 60" highlift

Just need to fit a couple of these

Image

They attach to the axle with a lych(sp?) pin. Apparantly when it was certed they insisted on these being fitted & had to be used at all times when on road (even had a sticker on the windsheid to that effect :!: :!: :!: ) We all know they have no effect on road but hey thatwas the rule then ............ now & with another certer who knows

So the air pressure you pump into the shock is what holds the vehicle up?
The shock still works as a damper I take it?

That should ramp well :D

What did you get on the ramp last time?
