far easier to block the crap off and disable the butterfly.
The plan was post turbo (he mentioned pressurised air).

??? exactly, bleeding off boost (after turbo of course) back to inlet.......which achives absolutly nothing other than makeing perform worse.

It would simply be bypassing boost around the throttle plate. From turbo to intake manifold via a different path.
It has the advantage of not having to monkey with the throttle butterfly. I can't see how it will hurt performance.

now i get ya (hey its friday!).
from egr inlet on manifold to pre butterfly but after turbo.
yeah it would work, not quite as good as no butterfly and its a lot of work unless you can weld alloy..
