well done - looks good!

I worked on extending my breathers
http://www.offroadexpress.co.nz/modules.php?name=Forums&file=viewtopic&t=7336&highlight=

Apart from that didn't get much done

Had another lamb born this afternoon, thought there might have been a twin coming so was going to get a photo of clip of it being born but as you can see she's dropping the afterbirth so it was all over
Image

Love this one of the ewe and dog licking their chops - lamb is not even an hour old there. Was just out there and she's taken the lamb about 150m and over two lowered fences and through a gate or so. Poor guy is only a few hours old and mum's got it doing trecking.

so 2000kg less 300kg of winch makes it the same weight as mine

Well, after having some more problems with the Wifes rebuilt tranny last weekend at TePoi, and after noticing emilsification in the ATF while checking the dipstick, i called the dude that did the work on it and tried to ummm and ahhh his way out, blamed the gears not meshing on the "transfer case instead of the Tranny", "the emulsificated water must be coming from a leak in the transmission cooler, cant be the tranny..." but.... "ahhh no i cant explain the cup full of ATF that came out the filler tube"

I told him i was going to change the tranny oil to get the emulsified water out, he asked me to keep a sample of it for their testing. Hes going to be sorry that i did........

Today i got under and pulled the tranny pan off. no emusified water to be seen aside from one little spot, so i ran the dipstick up and down a few times... and it appears the white crap is from the last effort, just they obviously didnt clean out the tube, and each time it dips the stick drags it off the inner of the tube...... ok, that mystery solved........

......... BUT WAIT...... whats this sitting in the bottom of the tranny pan????????????????????????? Tiny iron filings??????????????? surely not, because the non-meshing grinding noise MUST HAVE COME FROM THE TRANSFER CASE, NOT THE TRANNY - (tui moment) - YEAH RIGHT!!!! Not unless they have a teleporter to get from Transfer case to Transmission. I hate to think what the other side of the filter looks like!!!!

Anyway, put all the pan oil into a bottle, scraped the filings up as well and put them with it, sealed the top.... and tomorrow a chap in rotorua is going to get a visit, and i will be expecting my wife to get a courtesy car, for her Jeep to be collected from H-town, and then returned with a PROPERLY repaired Transmission.

Thing is that i dont mind too much if someone ##### something up, hey we all do it, but when the person at hand then wants to try to blame anything and everything in order to absolve himself (or company he represents) from any blame really really gets right up my arse. Hopefully this chap will see it for what it is and do the right thing..................

Sorted my steering and fixed the Wifes door lock.
