Kiwis Make Good Wine + Changing Oil

Around here, we use Kiwis to make wine, comes out like a Sauvignon Blanc but a little tart and spicy. Who'da thought it?

Going to change my oil this weekend on the Prado. I bought two oil filters for the next 10,000 kms and will borrow the neighbors ramps. I guess she takes about 8l according to my sources so will buy the 15/45 Castrol Diesel mix and get going. My former BIL has had several diesels and is a machinist and he ran all the passenger car diesels he had on 15/45 here even in the so called winter. This engine doesn't seem to have trouble heating up even in the fall weather.

By the way, I bought a manual which is an Ellery Toyota Landcruiser 1990-2007 Diesel Engines Including Turbo Automobile Repair Manual published in Australia. Neglected to notice the engines on their list are 1HZ, 1HD-T, 1HD-FT & 1HD-FTE which all seem to be inline 6-cylinders. Okay, I screwed up! Anyone want a manual for cheap? Everything except for the engine on the 1990s and newer Land Cruisers seems to be pretty well covered but does anyone know about these repair manuals?

Can anyone tell me where I can get a true Prado manual in english? I just need to know when to engage the differential lock and things like that <grin>.

I would also like to get a repair manual that covers the Prado engine, my little gem of a 2L-TE that sometimes runs for 500,000 kms in developing countries but dies in the Rockies at an alarming rate! I have in mind to explore these suggested modifications to the cooling system and need more info before I start.
