Hilift accidents - Pics
Re: Hilift accidents - Pics
If you cut it down to a flat deck then there plenty of room to mount it! Pretty poor excuse to hack the truck up but it's a start!

Nissan Terrano coilovers, turboed VH45, Safari axles, and some other stuff.

did you mount the jack vertically
I was curious to know if ya can mount them horizontally, or does that put too much pressure on the mount thingy

Yes was vertical - I actually thought of horizontal while writing that post.

The advantage of the kit is that you then know that your jack is like new ...
The down side of second hand stuff ( and I think it's improtant with stuff that I consider "safety") is what condition is the item and does it matter.

There is no mechanical problem so difficult that it cannot be solved by brute strength and ignorance.
Re: Hilift accidents - Pics
I have a genuine yank one and it has dropped my truck back on its wheels for no apparent reason, luckily I hadn't yet taken the wheel off so no damage was done but now I always put something extra under the chassis when I'm doing the tires at home just to be safe. The kickback is also bonecrushing if it gets you, buttttt having used one in the bush to get out of a rut they certainly do have their uses.
