its the 2.8 not the 3.1.
I have checked the valves and its not that. Dads mate is a mechanic and seems to think that its not the bottom end. His idea seems as its not the valves is that it might be one of the injectors stuck open and dumping in way too much fuel. I will try that when I am next up in Qtwn at my parents house over christmas.
