hi guys. pm was from me and had been searching for a while but i counldn't find a topic with an 84 solid axle surf on it. it seems all the later model ones came out with factory hooks and people just took them off and used the holes again. but i cant see any factory hook mountings on mine. sorry jerry

PM Coxsy or 4wdbits (they are jaffa's too  ) they can have a look at your setup and help...might cost you some lion red though

I seriously doubt that......the cheaper ones are likely to break and we all know you will get a paper clip in the back of your head.....have they got a rating mark on them?

See Rex, told you it wasnt 86Surf!!

Back to the paperclips, for those with chain driven cams..... link the paperclips (non-plasticised ones, the plastic will melt and cause lumps on the cam) and fit in place, cheap and easy!!

If you get a flat tyre grab 3 or 4 of them straighten them let out the air and put them down the side of the tyre to leaver over the bead. Leave the first one in place and use another about 5 cm away.

Work around the tyre until it is off.

Just get various paper clips and they'll wip a rated paper clip hook up for you on site at the BBQ.

But as mentioned DO NOT get a plastic coated one or a bulldog clip, - they do not withstand 90km/h snatches, that the chrome ones will.
