Any hints for increasing the torque for a bit of punch when getting on the gas in a 1600 auto? I assume just load up the trans and left foot brake until you need to go then right foot down and left foot up, using the left again as you start to loose traction (poor mans traction control). Already got my eye on some headers but will have to wait until I get the vehicle to get the correct set (8V or 16V).
Anyone done a rebore to get a little extra displacement?
Anyone used one of those electronic super chargers (not the elctric clutch ones) look like a fan fitted in the intake to provide positive pressure?
Can the vitara autos be locked in a gear and not shift up or down and also be used as a normal auto?

Come to the next shore meeting and have a chat to Neville ,he runs an auto in one fo his vitaras (the turbo one)

I use the E-Ram electric supercharger, it gives and xtra 5 hp to the base line i have it set to kick in at half throtle, this gives me the extra bit to get the 32's going.

Yeah I intend to. Hopefully this month I will get the right wednesday. I have a calendar now so shouldnt be a problem and the missus has shown me how to count up to 3 as well so all set.

So you rekon the expense is worth it? Does it really make a difference? Even in a 1600?
