The sizing of the photo makes that look like an Isuzu or something. except way, way uglier.

Looked like a fun, slow moving time

Is that Jerry's cousin in the background???

O for Orrrrrsume Sums up the weekend. Great bunch of guys and girls.
Big thanks again to Mudzilla and Jack for letting us invade your pad.

Katakati side of Thompsons was a nice warm up for Waitapheta. Some really nasty potential drop offs and mud that has a consistency of traclae.
We were going real well untill Gimmemud broke the Steering C-Arm moving the truck for lunch  ,waited 6 hours , while the others went back up and down to Te-Aroha to borrow A C-Arm off NzHunters Truck. Then Tintin (You the Man) brought it back to us on his trail bike in the dark
Never expected to have to do that part of Thompsons at night , on our own, by torch light.
Was real nice knowing that Monstr / Mudhaw / DB and Sataite were waiting up at the summit in case we got into trouble.
On the trial at 9am and off the trial at 11.30pm, and that was on a good day with no rain etc. Not a track to be underestimated.

Waitapheta, know thats one knarley track. The photos don't do it justice at all.
Watching Jafas 40's completely disappear under the mud. I cant begin to imagine what it must be like in the wet. You can see how groups spend days stuck in there, as in most places there is no way to get around a broken truck.
High revs, Deep bogs, Creeks ,massive ruts, rocks and loads of winching..
Bring on the Videos.....

I think the high light of the whole trip was that the guys found a perfectly good C-Arm to replace Gimmemuds broken one, just lying in a creek on the track in Waitapeta, what are the chances. 8)

Cant wait to do it all again.

Ps the Jalopy kicks arse. Drove out of heaps of spots were everyone else had to winch.
LR110 ..... LJ50 project
