bugger the easier way instead of trimming is to unbolt the mastercyclinder from the booster and rotate it 180 degrees then bolt it back together .this worked for mine :)

Nib's, just looking at your radiator pics, can't tell by photo have you got the radiator rubber mounted :?: . If so good boy, if not sit it on cotton reel rubber mounts ( I could supply ) and some rubber mounting on the stays. With all the power and torque the 3B will put out you will find it hard to contain the VIBRATIONS.

Hey Nibbs, where are you going to put your GLOVES now :?: :?: :?: , seriously those noisy things need plenty of cool air around them and when you switch off those Locky thingies they exhaust back through those electric solenoid thingies and when the "O" rings get a bit worn you get oil coming back through the air exhaust lines and that could get on you GLOVES   . I see you have done the radiator  , I have a bag of goodies here for you  .

GOOD THING TAKE TIME,

FITZY.

ive got a lot of venting round the top of the box, its not a closed off area by any means so theres plenty of room to 'breathe' as such.. as for gloves? well, i'll just put them beside it on the left.. nothing else to go in theres anyhoo..

With those ARB Air lines there is a longer spring type of cover you can buy to take out some of the vibration and movement in the line around where it goes into the diff putting these on will cause less breakages and air leaks around the fitting.

Hell it is not needed yet just if/when it does go throwing them on will mean less potential for reoccurance. Looks goo.. well like a lot of fun :P

plenty of room in the engine bay, but they only go for a shortish burst, and in an open top rattler like my 40, it wont make too much difference.. main reason for this placement is to keep it out of the water/mud/crap though...

Before getting an onboard air suppy (air con converted to a compressor) I found plenty of room for that little compressor to fit up and in behind the dash nib. The engines computer took up most of the glovebox. :D

Re the ARB air compressor mounted in the glove box.
I farked up nib.
What i had bolted to the firewall behind the dash wasn't the ARB compressor but the Rancho compressor, adjuster for the shocks.

made a blingin blank.. not..........

Image

also modified a 60 series 3b throttle cable to fit the 40's set up.. had to do this cos my engine set up has moved forward 200ish mm's.....

started with this.. cut off the spot welds and removed the windscreen secures as it'd get in the way of whats to come....

drivers..
Image

passengers..
Image

got the stays for the windscreen off and marked out the area to be removed... the two holes were originally for the push button glow and start buttons... i'll relocate them..
Image

and the other side..
Image

cut out the area pre clean up......
Image

this is the bit cut out.. ya wanna cut out the bottom bit so as to not create a hazard to yaself or passengers.. thats the shaded area..
Image

then i tacked it into place..
Image

passengers..
Image

so checked clearances to insure enough was cut and all was well.. feckin mint! 8)
