hi tim
new to the whole auto in 4x4s, earlier you said you had gbox set up so it can be full manual, how do you then change gears? just by moving the gear lever or a tiptronic set up? cheers

I love the part mid video, your Hilux stuck in the 2nd of two bogs at the base of a big hill climb, the zook stuck in the first bog, and the Jeep still waiting its turn.

So what do you do??

You hook your winch on, and not only do you drag your own rig out of the bog and up the hill, you also have the other two team members attached two you, one of which hasn't even been through the first bog yet, and drag all 3 of you through the bogs and up the hill in one go.

I notice you were using the electric winch towards the end of the video though

Awesome team work, good driving and mint event by the looks of it!!!!!

Yep, after 6 years it blew a $10 seal :( (on the airstrip spooling on the rope on friday afternoon)

Made the call to not strip it down, electing to make the winch overdrive the brake, ...... did 10 stages like that, and then it seized

Let it cool back down (3 buckets of water), and got it working again, did 4 more stages on it until the night stage when it split the brake housing down the middle.
Next morning blocked off the brake feed again and got it working again, but elected to keep it as the spare and let the electric have a burl.

Stripped winch when i got home and apart from a new brake housing, seal and a couple of brake discs its as good as new.......... ready for costa 8)
