Hi Jafa.
I have been thinking about your problem with steering breakages.

If you can't get a relief valve for the ram . What about mounting the ram connection to the drag link between two compression springs much the same principle as a drag link end on a cruiser except alot longer springs.

Just a thought.

That idea has merit Richard, I've made some new bits, ready for another "test" this weekend

Made some bits to get rid of the weak Toyota ball joints, and replace them with Heim joints, same as whats on the suspension links. Took it out for a thrash over the weekend, bashed it around abit, looks like it works. I still have a factory ball joint on the end of the draglink, but that will be gone soon as well.

Righto, the Jalopy is looking a bit like a wreck now, got hammered by the trees at our club winch challenge, not to mention numerous flops  With Autokraft wanting to put it on their site at the Mystery Creek Fielddays on the 10th June, I thought its about time for a birthday. The plan is just to make it look a bit "prettier" than it does now  , new panel and paintjob, and while the cab is off, check over the mechanicals. I'll be interested to see how my rear axles have stood up, being home made jobbies. I'll finish off a few of the bits that never got done for RR09 at xmas, like front barwork, rear deckage, more storage, more functional dash etc
Heres tonites progress

You may as well quick pin the doors and front guards while it is apart Trev
Obviously you will be going with a Kandy paint job, or better yet, one of those boy racer chameleon jobs. Kind of fitting, except that your rig changes shape every time it goes out, instead of colour!
