The Aussies have done it like this for years for towing caravans in the outback.
Just another idea anyway.

Best idea so far

As you know my old hilux is the opposite of yours with shit and dents all over it , but it dosen't bother me if you just want a nice truck to tow the boat.

I wouldn't say my thread is good reading most of the time. If I'm honest, It's a bit of, "w*nk w*nk" really. But when ever anything happens to my truck, i post it up here. Big or small. I like getting other peoples opinion on it, coz I'm a learner and i learn from what others think. :D

Oh, I know your truck looks dented up and a bit rough. Mate, if you look closely at mine it's not straight at all  It has dents all over it, the bonnet is bent. The right side of the front is lower to the left. it's on the piss. But it doesn't crab walk like my brothers, and his looks straighter than mine.
I don't care about dents stratches blah blah. I like it looking rough. Just, when it gets muddy, I choose to clean it.

To be really honest with you Richard. I enjoy reading threads where the host of it actually does the work and mods to their truck. Now that's something to brag about, when you're doing the work yourself. Lots of respect to the people of those threads, and they know who they are.

keep up the good work,

Lots of quoting there haynzy. Not a lot of commenting. Wanna expand on that? :D

thanks turoa.

If the guy doesn't know how to quote and add bits to it i don't bother reading what I've already written. So sorry haynzy.

Hey haynzy. No one is asking you to read this thread. So please don't feel you have to. (ya fark wit)

I'm sure there are better power plants to choose from other than a LS1 of shitty old cleaveland. So go and tell someone who gives a shit.

I don't mind people adding there bits to this thread. It might seem like it. I enjoy reading what others have to say, good or bad! But if it's to wind me up?? Don't think I'm going to just sit here and take it. (some know me better)

When I say I'm, "wanking on" with some of my posts or the things I'm doing to my truck? Don't think I'm not passionate about my truck. I am!! I don't feel as proud as them, coz I'm getting someone else to do the work. So i feel I have the, "wank' factor going on more than they do. Understand me?? :D

Hey, I'm being straight up and honest about it. If anyone has come up with a good idea for my truck , i won't own it. I'll give credit where credit is due. I've had lots of help with this 40.

Now thanks to bubba. My twin brother and I are think of making a bash around 40 that we could enter in off road events.

Thanks for the thought Bubba! Brilliant idea mate!!

Point taken.

I do like to listen to what others have to say. A lot of the time that's how I learn. So I'm open to it. But then that opens me up to all sorts of comments. I'll take that risk, it's worth it. Otherwise learning is a lot slower.

Life is short.

Was chatting to my bro last night about building up a purpose built off road machine. Nothing to extreme.
He's interested. I'm real keen! :D
But he's thinking a zuk. As much as I like zuks. He already has a spare 40 in the back paddock! It's a runner, kinda. But that would be a easy starting point.

If we go ahead with it. I'll have to start another build thread.
