its not a bad concept heath, but meh, its just a junker.. :D perhaps later i'll looky into something like that...

anyhoo, i got bored, so went to the shed and fizzed.. figured the max crush plus another 15mm too.. just for the extra the bumpstops may give..

p.s.. yes, i know theres only one spring on there.. it was easier to get the max crush with just that rather than compress the lot.. :P and the only reason that was left on there was because i was too lazy and wanted to zap it on..

Nib, for all the effort you are making on the fab, why not put a good body on and get this road legal? Winch truck styles???

You are blazing ahead now and the body swap wouldn;t ake alot more effort.

Anyhow - i'm lovin your shock hoops dude - They look real good. Whats next? (put in 4 more cylinders and run it on petrol  )

have thought about that guy.. i would really like to get her done though.. thats always an option for later, cos to be honest, i want to wheel her and see where the damage occurs on this tub prior to fittin the good one..

got part of the intake twistin round...
Image

filled and bled the power steering, filled the oil, took the water thermostat out and replaced anew, filled and bled radiator, got oil lines all hooked up, drain on, quick throttle and air line locator, diesel in, tank flushed, line bled, belts on.. only the dump off the back of the turbo on at the mo... found a bit of wiring i need to sort to stop the edic shuttin off after 10 seconds running, but folloin is a vid of the virgin strat up, hence the arms in the air...

"great success...." not so much the mrs' vid skills..

Image

unhooked edic motor and ran her up to temp, rear fans work and isnt that noisey.. mint-a-roo..

feckin sick of the brake double flare tool.. damned good at them now though..

this means front brake lines in, rear brake lines proportioning valve is plumbed up.. then all the lines bled.. even that was a bit of a mission.. only a bit though..

Image

then after a bit of fab on vacuum booster etc, went zoomies..

Image

now need rear axle to do ramp to get lengths for rear shocks.. plus other things.. will keep at it..
