Thank you to all who did put comments forward to the Select Committee. Pressure is still needed on MPs as it is they who will be deciding on the way the Bill finishes up in the Select Committee and the eventual fate of the Bill when it returns to Parliament.
As anticipated, it looks like there is an indecent haste by this Government to hammer through this Bill. The Select Committee has allocated only one day to hearing all public submissions. That will be on Monday 9 June. The NZFWDA will be one of the parties appearing before the Committee.

As anticipated, the Government has the Walking Access Bill lined up for its second reading in this final session of Parliament. With Parliament operating under 'Urgency' and the Bill as #3 on the priority list, it may be passed before the end of this week!
