Red Rocks still open last Saturday using the small bypass.
Someone (roading engineer

) has dramatically improved the original work by closely packing rocks so whats underneath you barely moves. I expect they did it in daylight though

You know Sadam, there are beer royalties on that photo - The poster shouts me 1 free each time they post it
As I typed, there are plenty of places to have ones forward motion slowed ..... I don't however recommend doing so with as good a sea view

Don't know Jerry. The owner has to want it sold before a deal can happen. Rang tonight and phone answered so expecting a ring back when owner returns home

It may not happen overnight but it may happen before the Toylex

for more info...there was a 10minute story on National radio this morning about it, from what i skim-heard it seemed DOC seemed to be happy that people had cleared a path thru it...and also talk of getting a digger in to clear a better track, but that being a reserve they couldn't remove any material, only shift it around.
Just for my personal interest: about 10mins past red rocks there's a track heading up the cliff leading to a white pole gate...where does this go/come from?
cheers

The track up the cliff, with the white pole gate, is the access to Long Gully Station, that track goes right through to the Brooklyn Wind Turbine Car park. I understand access can be arranged with the owners, not sure of the contact details tho'.

oh right...
my brother walked about 300m up it last new years before he got the feeling it was private property and went back to his ute - he's been bugging me every few months to find out where it went. I've never driven up to there as i was never game to take my safari too far past red rocks. He was a bit less careful about his surf.
thanks

2H you mean?
Yes 4 on each side in a v configuration

I'm also looking for a small step ladder for climbing in and out - pictures don't show how high till someone stands or parks alongside
