so i bought this 307 off some one who will remain unnamed " JAY" !!.
went to white rock down river and oil p went from 40 in mornin to 8 lb by night!! stripped engine down, cool pistons, the best cam i could get apparantly, port and pol etc. and now it has the horses i need ( for now!)

Hey Taz, you are correct, this did come from down south almost a year ago, it has morphed a bit since then now sporting the following mods;
aside from the bar work she has power steer, 4 wheel vented discs, full floater rear, lokka, new rear springs,dropshackles,
shocks and front shocks. A wee bit of motor work, new manifold and 4 barrel carby, few gaskets here and there. renamed POLCAT so looking forward to getting out there for a bit of a play.

When I was a young fella growing up over the river in the early 70's the DSIR brought about 3 of them brand spanking new, white ones with DSIR painted on the doors, and they used to cruise all around the place in them doing their scientific stuff of whatever is is they used to do up at their research station, I never knew what the hell they were and nobody had ever seen any sort of cruisers around at that stage.... it was still landrover and riverbuggy country back then

I think that one that was for sale on here ages ago is the best one I've seen. Was it Andrew Farmers maybe? That that was his name. Read a bit about it on another forum and it was like bulletproofs hilux in the sense that he had tinkered with just about every bit of it. Wicked 40. Don't have any pics of it but someone around here must. Or maybe someone even knows where it is now?
