That truck looks a lot better than that in person. The LWB double cab GQ is very cool and thinking hard about trying to talk my wife into letting me do it to her truck! Not sure of my chances though!

i have just added (in the process of adding) the rear pillars to my swb which had been chopped when i bought, i got fed up with getting wet gear like coats and stuff.. there is a lot of work involved in doing a "proper job" and the small jobs make a big difference, got to admire the work when you see a good conversion, welding those panels without warping them takes time and thought. pity i dont know how to add pics as i have taken a few over the last week of mine in the process.

Put them on http://www.photobucket.com then copy and paste the link to here. Would be good to see what you have done. The back was pretty much wide open when you bought that wasn't it? Looked like a pretty cold ride

The purple truck looks as though the rear doors have been welded up and into the door frame and then the whole rear section moved forward.
I did this on my suk 410 and is an easy way to keep the style and lines looking factory with the added bonus of no extra materials needed.
Its possible he has those rear doors still opening into the back of the cab as otherwise I would have expected him to replace the split window with a solid one.
:?:

Since the owner is THE TD42 fuel pump guru, you would expect it to have a bit of pull!

Would just be a convenience thing wouldn't it? Easier to make and if you bust some glass is not a custom job and a wait to replace?

love your work mate!
Really impressive.

I am thinking about doing this shortly, as I have a bit of rust along the roof etc.

Was it a requirement for the cert to have roll bars?

I know its the best idea to have them anyway - did you need to get them made by a pro to get the cert?
