Sounds to me like a few of you guys are a bit worried you might get a wet ass

it cant be any worse than some of the holes in Rotorua or the pond at Pete's place ,if its to deep im sure Darin will sort out something for the Club class

I'm in the process of writing an email with all the last minute details and that includes a complete change of venue! Yesterday morning when we turned up to do the final track setting, the property owner had decided that we couldn't use what was originally planned. Thank fully he had another area on the farm we could use so you could say it has been a bit hectic.
I can confirm that we have planned (and marked most) all the stages required. We will have avery busy Thursday and Friday setting up everything else and will take a bit more time off work to get it sorted.
For those that were worried there isn't any "deep" water but there is a swamp that might end up that deep! Suzookyman walked across that one and you could say he sunk a fair bit

So after you winch that and then up the steep bank on the other side I think you'll be wishing it was just water!
You could say that so far anything that could go wrong has gone wrong but thankfully we've done this before so changing plans part way through isn't too biga deal. And Northland weather being what it is, we have had to change tracks the week before every event we've run up here. Just part of it really.
The basic camp setup if pretty good and several stages start basically from the camp including both night stages.
Access for support vehicles / crew is going to be restricted even further due to the wet but the site is such that it is very visible from the road and you won't need to walk more than a 200-300m to get to any stage. There is a quarry onsite so the road access is very good.
It is going to be wet and possibly cold up here. Those camping (including myself) had better be very prepared.
I'm just waiting for aphone call to confirm a couple of details and then I'll send the email to everyone. It is essential that you reply to the email ASAP so we can sort out the last few things. I don't want the replies on here please email me direct.
Friday is coming quick!!!!!!!!

No. We are now at the back of the farm which is on Otakairangi road. About 3 ks in a striaght line. How do you do the pointer thing on the maps as I couldn't get in to work and that would make things much easier.

Yeah it is the drive to the right of the railway track cattlestop. You can drive in over the cattle stops or the through the gates to the right depending on what you are driving.
