You've gone all Micro$oft on us... releasing untested software and using the greater unwashed masses to do the beta testing

Poor old KiwiPete will have to change back to Windows to use ORE at this rate... :D

Nah, its getting better by the day... nice work. Does your boss know? Image

Upgrades/migrations can be such a pain in the a&& without a full test suite and group of monkeys to assits.. oh wait... lots of the monkeys have been posting on the thread already.

Everything will get sorted I am sure and look forward to doing some more "testing". Keep it up BUT make sure you get at least enough sleep AND get some time to work on yor beasty.. looking forward to bring nice cups of tea during your race.

your not wrong there, it would have taken me ages to find all these bugs and attempt to fix them. Supralux has been assisting with some of the css stuff which is good. The more you guys find, the more I fix and the better the site becomes.

got a big one to deal with next from what curly tells me  We'll get there in the end though

righto

me and suzuki 1k have been sending PMs back and forth checking out the system and its still playing up

have checked and unchcecked boxes here there and everywhere, but am still getting a pop up window

the annoying part is that you will get an email of topic notification an you click on the link and the first thing that comes up is the pop up page and you have lost the topic you were trying to get to

issues mikey

we tried but couldnt seem to fix it ourselves

also, another random thing todo with the topic notification emails

every so often (1 out of 15) I get the old style email mixed amongst the new overloaded emails

huh, its playing funny games with us

all the same, I'm sure we can put up with a few minor issues for a while until the iron is warmed up enough to get the wrinkles out

Hey Mike why is it that some forums are alright and can fit into the screen (so you can see the quote buttons) and some are not (I cant see the right hand side of the westcoast easter 09 tread)

Is it possible to make the little arrow for new post more definitive and why does the thread font colour go from blue (easy to read) to grey (hard to read) once its been read once and from then on regardless of new posts stays grey. Could lose the arrows and use the font colour to indicate red/unred new posts maybe??

And/or a button to select new posts only as per the old system?

Yes, so true, but it used to display only the new posts since your last visit, then the other posts under them.
And I miss the button for marking threads as read too.

if you are using firefox you can change the font colours for all web sites

goto

tools> options>fonts and colours>Advanced> then uncheck the box saying allow web pages to choose colours and fonts, make sure you have selected black font with a suitable background colour.

it get rid of all the colour and other colourful bits and makes forum easier to read, could be good work around until mike sorts the colours bits out

its now at the top of the page

anyway. Ive changed the theme to go for a them which is easier to read, use and hopefully works in the site better. I may change some of the colours a bit but then im not graphic designer (as you can see) so will most likely just leave it.

lets see how this works for people.
