Well, found proof that ONE board member was really there... albeit skirting around the edge and staying clean by the looks of things
Looks like a hell of a lot of fun... Peter - you going to run one in Chch for the Southern boys?

Steve
you can actually, if you have the blocks that screw to the door frame for the early handle type...and 2 of them

at a good price

Actually, I was just being a smart-ass

But try Ace 4WD in Chch as I think they had a complete older one in there...
Or there is always Just Cruisers in Rangiora... not sure if they still have any 40-series stuff there tho... seems to be 70-series onwards now...

The 4WD TV crew are still in NZ but will be back in Melbourne on Monday. The scheduling of the 4x4 Mud Challenge has not been sorted yet but we will advise when we know. 4WD TV also sell each program as a DVD through their website
http://www.4wdtv.com.au so it will be available at some stage. It should make good viewing!

Muddy Day Fantastic

Hi to all that played that day. Thanks to all that were involved in setting up the day and organizers that must of had some sleepless nights leading up to the day .
It my first ever competition and loved every second and the hilux held together (and the clutch) which i smoked up on Thursday when i was tuning up the computer and adjusting the twin throttles, which i had just finished on Wednesday night "Bugger" . Thursday i had to make the call to change or just run with it , Running out of time so try first to adjust ,
run out of travell , look through some other old clutch bits , yes a pusher 4 mm longer back under truck fit and test , just get it into gear . that will do , Hire trailer dont think will be able to drive home ,This was a good call.
On the day the truck went well motor revved and the mud flew, cool .
Only problem was i had to be easy on the starts off the line and i needed to start the truck in gear and go , second gear low box all the way to the end and at the end of each run you could smell clutch , thats what we were here for find the weakness and rebuild .
Got back to Taupo drive to work to clean, 5 mins away change gear , bit rough but still changing then bang no more clutch .Two gear boxes one clutch plate two slave cylinders and one master cylinder up grade . Well its now going to get a auto put in . I need more events like this so i get all the jobs done. Get my drift .
2 Hours to clean under truck and still GRINNING cool day when can we come and play again, This time i will bring the rest of the team all with lexus v8s
Thanks again Klem
Ps I was in the 32 inch class as well but no times showing , must have been to fast for the clock . HaHaHaHeHeHe
