i got some minor niggly issues sorted last nite, off to safaripetes workshop on sat to do hooks, radiator mount and new seat mounts.... then a quick starter rebuild next week &should be all go! mite even whizz out to the river this sunday for a shakedown run

Righto then, Ive spoken to Reece and hes spoken to Jerry (someone had to) and heres the itinery, sort of.

Saturday 3rd July, Akas trip.

Meet at Rallywoods gate at 9am for a 9.10am briefing and then 9.15 we're off on convoy for the Akas trip.

theres a high possibility we could run 2-3 different trips into the Akas depending on what vehicles turn up and who wants to do shiny or club or hard yakka

the shiny trip will have scratches and a bit of mud, but will be a nice gentle meander through the forest with a play opportunity at lunchtime. The tracks are a little bit rutted out in places due to rainfall running down them, but pick your line and it will be sweet.

not sure on a club truck run, but it could be something like firewood loop or similar

if theres a few who want to do hard yakka and are fully self recoverable, then maybe the 10 hour track or similar could be an option for you.

any questions just ask, and add your name to list and bracket the kind of trip you could be in to

I think there may be a $15 fee for Akas, but I'll let Reece confirm that as hes the official trip leader


Sunday 4th will be play day in Rallywoods, if anyone wants to make this itinery different, then let us know, coz it is a Palmy trip after all and we want you guys to be happy doing what you wanted to do

I was hoping to do the Hard Yakka option on sat ... but the new clutch Marty helped me install wed night seems to be jammed against the bolts on the flywheel. BUGGER
I dropped the gearbox out yesterday to find out why I could not get any gears.
Ill take the clutch back to M Ps monday morning and hope to have the 40 running for at least sun
