Oh my old xm, itll never get sold. My favourite bit is the diary that came with it. Bought new in Wellington in 64. the owner wrote in if every time he drove it, every oil change.every sparkplug. every tyre and would even measure the rolling circumference of each new tyre and work out how much itd affect the speedo. Love it.

Fantastic paint job. Don't ever paint it either.
I really like seeing old cars in as found cosmetic conditions.
Too many cars get over restored.
The surf board would seem to be more appropriate on the XM rather than the Mark 7, or is it a Mark 2?
You will be damn sorry when you sell your -71. Tis a nice conversion.

Sat in a paddock in Central for 3years which gave it the sunburnt look, dont worry just repairing the back guard now then the whole car will be cleared as is.The surf board would seem to be more appropriate on the XM rather than the Mark 7, or is it a Mark 2?
Will get a decent Longboard for that someday, and yeh the old mans Daimler has to be done before then too.

We are planning a trip to Barn bay , coppermine tracks later this year and I think I might be organising this for the club..

If the track is in good shape and is a little wet.. no high rivers etc.. it'll be a blast and a half.. If ya keen to be a day member then I can see no problem anyone coming along.. We'll be booking a house for a base so hot showers, scram eggs, bacon etc...

Let us know..

Weighed the Truck today:
1860kg
Factory weight:
1955kg
according to the netNot too bad I thought, 1uz is lighter than 2Lte. Didnt think Id lose that much weight with the back cut off though.
Also MWB length is 2600mm, SWB 2310mm...
Good site for 70series specs:
