Hi Shane, to anser your question yes you will need a SNORKEL---- OR alternitive air supply to standard intake . This can be done by disconecting the hose or fitting at the intake to the air cleaner and attach a length of flexible ducting (hose) and put the inlet as fare back and as high as you can get it (firewall area) . Go out and join in if some sections of the course look to tough miss them and go on to the next ones, if you are new to this you can learn a lot and don't be sucked in by peer pressure take it at your own and vehicle ability and speed . Give me a call if you want 3387202 .
GET DIRTY, FITZY .

Hi all,
had a word to one of my colleagues who has spoken to the organiser about a couple of things,
firstly, I competed in the last event as co-driver in a vehicle in the open class in a V8 fire engine powered 39inch tyred buggy (finished a respectable 3rd) :twisted: what bothers me about entering in the open class in my own truck, is that there are some stages both classes do but some are tailored open class trailer vehicles which are fairly severe for thos of us expecting to be able to drive our vehicles home that night :o
The modified class is a better alternative for road legal vehicles :D
Have been toldthis morning;
if it has doors and a tailgate and 33inch tyres it can go in mod class even with twin diff locks, so i'm thinking about putting Dads Simex's on for the day (32's) and having a ball :P........ and being able to drive home :P

When I spoke to the guy on the phone I'm pretty sure he said you could interchange courses if they were obviously to hard for your vehicle in the open. Would make sense. This isnt the south island nannaersim showing its face is it? :lol:

sort of :oops:
told Kath of my plans and got told to keep the carnage to a minimum as we're doing a family trip shortly afterwards, I guess it's always a juggling act trying to do everything but keeping truck mobile and kids happy comes at a cost :?
