We would also like to thank Reece and Skid for putting on such a well organised event.
The marshalls need a big thanks as well. They did a great job in some very average wellington weather
Looking forward to the next one

I'm sure I speak on behalf of both myself and Reece when I say its great to get all the thanks from you guys as it makes us aware that we succeded in a great event.

As with any event you run, you are always learning every time you run it and this year was no exception.

BUT....................

it goes without saying that it wasn't just us two that made it happen, so I'd like to take the opportunity to publicly thank all those others behind the scenes who made it the success it was. Hopefully I cover everybody, but if I missed your name then I'm sorry but let it be known that we are very grateful for all the help we received, so here goes.......................

Taz 01 , Stinky, Sadam, Bob, Pinky, Willie H , Dace, Badnuz, Tartra , Polcat , Robo , Haynzy for aquiring prizes etc for the event.

Marty, Cindy, Geraldine, Matt, Steve, Gavin, Dave, Warren, Bob, Hollie, Lyn, Winston, Haynzy, Phil & son, Mike for your marshalling help.

extra thanks to Lyn and Tara for everything you've done

massive thanks to our sponsors/supporters.......

Image

and lastly thanks to all of the competitors, coz without your smiling muddy faces, we wouldn't of had an event.

THANKS

you want to keep that young hollie on as your office manager back at green hut she did a fantastic job of sorting the shit out and keeping things running efficently and smoothly back there

those 2 levin teams go hard, drive well and are a good bunch of guys and turn up with their own mini city of busses trucks caterers film crews mechanics and anything else you can think of

havent seen results posted so my recollection was

1st Levin 4x4 FXtreeme
2nd Levin 4x4 Bush Pigs
3rd Mudnutz, Rob and Stinky
4th Cruiser Club (beer cruiser, Mark O)
5th Willie Hamiltons truck, Nick stacey, std 40 series cruiser
6th Pinkys landy and mates

somebody will correct any accurecy and/or spelling?

I agree with what Skid has said and he couldn't have summed it up better....

From me, thanks to all the helped out behind scenes, without your help and support this wouldn't have happened... thanks to Rallywoods for again letting us use the land to hold this AWESOME event! and it does go without saying that everyone thoroughly enjoyed this years event....

Next years one will be bigger and better!!

Lyn and Tara, thank you both for letting Skid and myself spend many day's and nights getting this sorted out, without your patience and support the weekend wouldn't have been as smooth as it was.

and once again, thanks to the teams for coming and supporting this event as well, you are the ones that make it happen!

hahahahaha

that would be an awesome idea, if only some clever person hadn't of thrown them all in the fire as he was cleaning up the hut

but as for positions...............

1st ; Team FXTreme - levin 4wd
2nd ; Team Bush Pigs - levin 4wd
3rd ; Team Farcup - Rob, Robert & Stinky
4th ; Team Pitbull - Capital Cruiser Club
5th ; Team ??????? - Nick, Paul & Chris
6th ; Team Pinkys Squad - Pinky and the boys

as for times, they went into the fire but I can remember one time in particular............

Levin Bush Pigs did the pines and 22 in 1:51

FXTreme were the only team to honestly attempt rovers Revenge and did so in 31.44 I believe

The rules were not vague, it was the way that one team decided to complete the said hazard... normally you wouldn't walk 35 minutes to get a code just to drive in a hazard then exit and claim that you have completed it....

Agree with you there, the 2 Levin teams won on their teamwork, never had an issue with that. They would have won anyway regardless of any "discussions"

My suggestion was that the hazard rules are clarified maybe put them in the drivers packs/maps and with the marshals on the hazards.

eg here is the hazard start point here is the finish point, yoiu muxt send x truck(s) thru the hazard, you can or cannot setup your recovery gear on the hazard beforehand, you must stay in the hazard or you can go here on the hazard to help recover vehicles

it is a semi fun event though, if ya wanna be a stickler for the rules all you will do is take away the social nature of the event. The entrants this year were varied from true tuff trucks through to basicly unmodified daily drivers. To get to serious would drive away the novices and the event may just die a premature death.

easy fix. get a ticket clipper on a chain and they have to have the truck within a certain distance to get their ticket clipped which would be an old piece of seatbelt glued at the start of the event to the middle of their roll cage or roof or windscreen surround. funzy

This is not a silly idea to add to it a bit don't tell the teams what track's they will need to clip the ticket on as it means they will have to attempt all the tracks to find which ones they need to do it on. also don't just have it on rovers and lookout track but on another couple of loop tracks as well (could even be issued to the marshals for the loop tracks)
