right some more for you pic whores lol
2's has finished off and painted the front diff as well as made up the new gearbox crossmember / transfer case protector.
The front of the chassie has the strengthening tacked in place. The 130 transfercase is mounted to the 185 box with a few mods to make it fit, including the gear leavers modded to fit so they look factory.
i have started on the rear bar using some tow bar tounges as the main support.
the rear diff has been cleaned up. we cant use the factory mounts on the diff for the shocks so gotta make new ones as well.

Also i thought i would show the draws i brought of nathan hammond that were in his 78 and the rear cargo barrier that jeremy (kbjj) played with to make fit

Looks awesome mate good on ya. Those towbar tounges look like a good idea i assume they stick through the bar as a recovery point?

What is the reasoning behind using a 130 transfercase?

Seems like alot of work involved in changing to rear discs, is there any other gain from changing to that diff?

The 185 transfer case front output drive is on the left where as the 130 is on the right to suit the prado front diff

the prado rear diff would bolt straight up with all factory mounts except hand brake but we decided to go coil overs in the rear as well

well went in to ricks today and the truck in on wheels admitting they only 31's lol gotta wait for some 15X10" rims.

will take some more photos in the next few days and post

rear shocks still not here from the states as we had to go with 10's as the twelves were too big for the rear.

still looking for the steering shaft UJ to make it mobile

rear drive shaft needs to be lengthened and front one needs to be made.

so close but still so far

if the playdoh steering shaft is the same spline as the 60/70 series cruiser stuff toyota starlet steering shaft U/J's fit, I think there about 14mm, I think I've got 1 or 2 of them in the shed still if there the size your looking for Jase?
