Here are just a few photos. These two were taken today after spending the day clearing tracks for the Northland WC.
End of the day next to suzookyman,

Awesome flex

New lights make a big difference

Been having heaps of fun just driving it, done over 300kms already:shock: It has been performing faultlessly and the conversion was well worth the effort, and having disks is really good.

Spent today making up a new snorkel for the Zook.
Made it out of 3" stainless pipe, wanted to make it out of 2 1/2" but my mate didn't have any.
It still came out alright, cost me all of $28
Air cleaner box, the inlet is facing towards the guard.

Stainless pipe I got,

Fittings,

Where the new hole goes,

Drilling the hole, didn't want to stuff this up

Came out good, filed the burs off and painted the bare metal to stop it from rusting.

Had to relocate the indicator to the front, the other sides indicator had already been moved when the previous owner had mounted the old snorkel on the other side.

New hole cut out

Test fit,

One of the mounting brackets

One of the mounting points

Ready to be polished

All done, sorry about the blurry picture, but this is when the camera died

Will get some more photos in the next few days.

Haha yeah.
The green machine has been having a few mods to the rear winch which might help us out sometime
You should come around for a look sometime before Northland WC.

I had a good weekend.
Got a new warrent for the Suzuki and I got my new compressor fitted and going on Saturday,

I fitted the switch where the old choke hole was in the dash for the choke cable.

That all I managed to get done to it. Spent the rest of the weekend getting bits ready for the winch truck for the Northland winch comp next weekend. Can't wait for the event it should be awesome

Hey what did you end up doing with the charcoal canister? ive run into the same problem with my build a the moment. although i have mounted the escudo tank so i am thinking of blocking it off on both ends and just using the original tank breather from the samurai tank

I just ended up blocking it off. It seams to be fine.
Why did you put the Escudo tank in? Would have been abit of work for only 2 litres extra.

Don't forget leaf-sprung samurais aren't flash like coilys, can't just bolt in an escudo fuel pump

Get a coily tank

Or mount an external pump.

well i had the escudo pump there as i scrapped a swb for the g16 engine. Im a jew student and didnt want to splash out for a inline pump. and my sammy tank has MASSIVE dents in it. I could cut the pump into the sammy tank but then it has no baffle which isnt ideal at all for wheeling. so i thought id mount the escudo tank, all it takes is shifter the filler neck and slightly modifying the mounts. and i get a bigger tank.
well thats why

Sweet.
I didn't look at mounting the Escudo tank at all, as my tank was going to do the job.
Sounds like a fuel tank gaurd would be a good idea for you

yea, if i had a coily obviously id do what you did, but coily tanks are like hens teeth as parts. and yea im going to make some armour, it was dented when i got it. what made you run with the sammy airbox rather than the vit one, just ease of installation? thats my next step

Yeah it was easier to mount and the Escudo inlet if I remember right is not round either more of a square shape.
The Samurai airbox works fine for me.
