Upper bushing of front axle has shown some signs of wear for some time... I'm sure OME design is good for on road use, but offroad killed the rubber thats the only one bushing that stayed OME after the lift kit, all others been replaced with IRO stuff. Being the point that stops the axle wrap thought it'd be a good idea to replace it with something better, so went with home made propylux and double stainless casing around it. Will see if it lasts longer than rubber

almost getting me motivated to put my lift back in mine but need to get front driveshaft sussed too.

how much did that set you back for it?

not so keen about putting the gearbox spacers in and havin that hanging so low.

are ya going to lift the fuel tank outta tha way too??

Designing the winch bar atm in CAD, then rear tyre carrier, rock sliders and barwork all around. Temporary flares are on now, ordering real ones from the US soon...Long way to go

They are made of plastic coreflute sheet, same material they use for the real estate signs, etc... easy to cut and paint. Chucked through a few bolts to secure it to the inner rim of the wheel arch. They do the trick until proper ones arrive

Love it, you cant beat the WJ V8 power/weight ratio. Have you re geared it? And got a front bar coming? Those flares will look the part especially with a front bar.

Good buying out of the states atm, for my JK Wangler I picked up five 16x8 steel rims for 82 us each plus $500 odd for postage, there is a joint in Melbourne selling the same wheels for 150 AUD each

I'm thinking of taking my JK up to Woodhill or Thompsons track early/mid May if you're keen to get her in the mud.

i might be going up woodhill this saturday no re gear as yet, considering it atm, but loving the extra speed on the sand, cannot feel the power loss

played a bit around with Jane and then with the camera yesterday, so far happy as a pig in mud

Going on a mud run tomorrow, decided to disable the ABS system, as on many previous occasions it had done more bad than good. I have both and the Simex's eat the KL71's......

Simexe's are way superior in mud for sure! But if you wanna drive on road too, the KL71s are the closest M/T you can get to them in mud, if you compare to the Buckshots, Mudstars, Coopers, etc. Others may disagree though

anyways, people always debate between the two, it comes down to what kind of truck they're on, where you drive and to personal preference. I had KL71s for many years on medium trucks and wouldn't give them away for 10 sets of bighorns...
