Yeah again nice tyre, but would really like to go to a 33 or 32 minimum, something like this http://www.4wdbits.co.nz/ProductDetails ... uctID=1189 just a bit pricey

Been down the track of bodylift and 33's.

Not worth it in the end, constantly had problems with steering (only offroading i done was small ruts and gravel roads) and in the end it was just costly.

i dont see the point in going over 31's for terrano's, unless you are doing some hardcore stuff and really need the extra clearance, these trucks go well enough with 31's on them.

I run 33's but have done a solid axle swap, and to be honest big tyres are overrated unless your doing competitions etc, the only thing they have going for them is that they look good (in my case they help with clearance for front diff)

Which is why I'm saving my pennies for some BFG 33x10.5 KM2s. They are a true 33 and will fit with no trimming. 33s are kind of seen as an entry level benchmark for serious off roaders...

To the OP, dont get me wrong, 32x11.5s won't tear the front to pieces, its just obviously more weight to throw around than a 10.5. The guys in the US all run 33x12.5s , some 35s, reliably. (once the steering is sorted). The steering is the weak link but there are solutions.

The tyres you have still look pretty good.... and the flares look good, why not keep them to run around on and get a set of Simex 32x9.5s (33.4") for playtime?

Also what width are your 33s and rim size?

10.5 I think and 15x8 with -19 offset.

From where I'm standing they look like 33x12.5s

Well things have changed a bit now, i sold the terrano a few months ago to rebuild my engine in my other car. But realy missed having my own 4wd for hunting and missed going on 4wd trips.
So a mate at work offered me this, a 1987 fj70 converted to 1hz (4.2 6 cylinder diesel) 5 speed manual, rear LSD, running on 35" maxxis bighornys.
Ive only had it a week so havnt even been off road in it yet but seems to drive realy nice on the road which im very pleased with.
Gave it a polish yesterday at work and it come up mint, just a bit of rust work needs looking at and i realy want a front bar and winch.
