Hey there, whats involved in wiring in the second alternator? Does it charge just the second battery or the both of them with a relay?
I'm setting up a second battery setup but its pointless adding batteries but no extra charging ability.

1st a main power and earth then it is a bit more involved on a nippion denso alt with in built reg has a L,IG and a S for the 3 wire plug on (L,IG and S is normally printed on the side of the alternator)
the L goes to a light(about 3 watt) which goes to the ignition so puts power both ways so the light dose not go. when the alt stops charging it changes the L wire from power to earth
the IG goes straight to the ignition as a exciter wire
and the S is a signal wire and goes straight to the positive of the battery
some alternators may not have all 3
as i founded out not all alternators have in built regulators so choose carefully also some are better than others
only chargers one of the two batteries as to keep them completely separate

as they may have shown footage of me putting it on its side (we lent them our vid) i did not post up any pics(from the top of the south winch challenge)
he is a step by step of what we did on the second tip over (stage 2) the fist one a night i do not have any pics
other then the tip overs (a bit of panel damage) we only slightly bent the trans cross member up making the drive shaft rub on a rear suspension cross member and a small leak from a bent rim so no real mechanical damage.
small winch (stage 2)
when we get our vid back for the Suzuki Xtreme tv guys i will post same of it up.

Yes they didn't show much but it was good footage and it had you and us in it about 20 mins of footage from a whole days video - an edited long version would be great!

only problem with the footage my mates took was they didn't go around and get any vids of others so seeing others in action was great. (get to see what you did good and bad)

Good to see noone was hurt & the truck only got slightly scared Its not good when you start spending money and time on repairs rather than " R&D"!
Looking forward to the vid link!

may be able to as the ones in savs shop came to 33.5" on 8" rims and 30psi so a litte bit of wear and you can' as in club rules it states “33” or equivalent measured 840mm tyres the tires will still only be used for comps ect for some time and still use the simexs for club trips

Hi James
A little birdie told me you didn't make it up Petrol Hill last weekend.
You were covered in a lot of mud when I saw you on Sunday.
Cheers Riichard

I see in an earlier post you went from 14" springs to 12". Do you still have the 14" ones? Do you want to part with them? The 12" vitara ones I have are a bit short and soft.
